About Raincoast

Indigenous-Owned. CCIB-Certified. 30 Years on the Land.

Founded in 1996, Raincoast Erosion Control Ltd. has spent nearly three decades on the leading edge of hydroseeding and erosion control across Western Canada. Today, under Darcy MacKenzie and an elite team, Raincoast continues to push the bar on environmental craftsmanship.

Today Raincoast is the parent of a family of companies with the largest geographic footprint of any hydroseeding operation in Western Canada. We're rooted in BC, with offices in Coombs, Salmon Arm, and Prince George, and we reach into Alberta from our Grande Prairie staging yard.

From hydroseeding and erosion control to professional lawn care, irrigation systems, and environmental restoration, our family of companies covers the full spectrum of land management. Each company operates independently with its own specialized team, but all share the same values: reliability, craftsmanship, and respect for the land.

As a CCIB-certified Indigenous-owned business, our connection to the land runs deeper than commerce. We believe in responsible stewardship of the properties and environments we work with, and we're proud to create economic opportunities in the communities we serve across BC, Alberta, and Yukon.

Our house is on a very steep and rocky lot, where erosion control is essential. Raincoast sprayed the entire area with their low-maintenance mix. The installers were quick, thorough, and professional.
